Woodworking

Medium is mesquite wood. Taking a piece of wood from the pasture into the shop and coaxing out the natural beauty sometimes buried deep into the wood. The wood will talk to you if you listen letting you know just what it wants to be in its new life. From a tractor hoisting a log out of the pasture, through a series of milling, cuts sanding and listening a beautiful piece emerges. Mesquite lends itself to hidden passages of grain and texture, all great finds. My favorites are hearts and crosses.
